PROJECT SUMMARY

IS CAES is a historical project concerning the study of compressed air energy storage solutions integrated with solar plants and renewable energy production systems.

The original proposal aimed to assess alternative or complementary solutions to electrochemical storage systems with a specific focus on the technical economic and management sustainability of the plant.

PROJECT UPDATE

In light of technological regulatory and market evolution the IS CAES project is now included within the broader model of Digital Energy Communities based on data driven management platforms Artificial Intelligence Big Data ERP BIM Digital Twin and digital tools supporting energy management.

In this updated perspective IS CAES is not presented as an immediately operating stand alone initiative but as a historical project component potentially integrable into advanced models of energy communities microgrids storage systems intelligent energy management and energy flow optimization.

INTEGRATION AREAS

The project may be reassessed within the framework of

digital energy communities

solar plants with energy storage systems

local microgrids and energy self consumption models

ERP platforms for managing plant user and stakeholder data

Big Data analysis and Artificial Intelligence for decision support

BIM Digital Twin and technical plant modelling

optimization of energy production distribution storage and consumption
