ERCI – European Railway Clusters Initiative
Founded in 2010 and established as a legal entity based in Brussels since 2022, ERCI is the leading European network for the railway, mobility, and logistics sectors.
It brings together 18 active clusters across 17 countries and represents over 3,600 companies – including more than 2,300 SMEs – as well as universities, research centres, educational institutions, incubators, and accelerators.
ERCI's mission is to foster innovation, international cooperation, and industrial competitiveness throughout Europe in the railway and smart mobility sectors.

The ERCI Webinar on 4 June 2025 is dedicated to the topic of transparency in the multimodal and rail supply chain, enabled by the use of GS1 EPCIS 2.0 standards.
GS1 is an international non-profit organisation founded in 1974 and headquartered in Brussels. It is best known for introducing the barcode, a groundbreaking innovation that transformed the world of logistics and retail. Today, GS1 continues to develop standards for identification, traceability, and data synchronisation between the physical and digital worlds.

During the webinar, Claudio Salvadori, CEO of New Generation Sensors, will present the TrackOne platform in a session titled:
"TrackOne Platform: The Enabler for Supply Chain Visibility”

His presentation will explore:

The development of smart modular containers equipped with sensors, aligned with the Physical Internet paradigm for more efficient logistics

The role of TrackOne as an enabler of end-to-end supply chain visibility

The aim to enhance multimodal collaboration among all stakeholders involved

Support received under the Next Generation EU framework programme

The advanced technologies integrated into the platform: blockchain, artificial intelligence, real-time tracking and location services

Why attend
We will outline how to improve transparency, efficiency, and reliability in multimodal and rail supply chains through the use of GS1 EPCIS 2.0 standards.
