I am one of the authors of a new rock musical, written in English, entitled The Dreamer.
We are seeking investors willing to help us stage the musical all over the world (in Italy with the lyrics and dialogue translated), trusting the staging to established theatrical companies, or those created ad hoc.
2021 presents the perfect opportunity to map out a tour for next year, when theatres will be open once again. We authors would be recompensed via the SIAE (Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori), the Italian performing rights society, who would direct 15% of ticket sales to us. The remaining 85% would in part cover costs, and in part represent profit for eventual investors.
The renowned Compagnia della Rancia, who expressed a willingness to stage the show just prior to the beginning of the pandemic in the role of executive producer, could be contacted again in order to take the show to the most important Italian theatres; above all Milan and Rome. Overseas, among the cities most likely to welcome a new musical are London, New York, Berlin and San Diego.
Given that currently many people are reconsidering their existential values, this musical is the perfect vehicle for providing new hope and stimulating positive energy.
Here is a brief synopsis:
A man (Dreamer), in order to save himself and rediscover his true identity, battling against an existence which has become grey, creates a dream. A dream in which his memory gives life to a whole series personages who will help him on his path to rebirth.
The juxtaposition between greyness and colour; the certainty that destiny exists, but that it can be modified; the need to find time to undertand and believe in yourself; and the importance of rediscovering your soul and giving it a role in your everyday life are the themes of this show, which will inspire the many – perhaps too many – people who feel their own lives have become grey.

We are currently close to finishing the composition of our second musical; a rock chamber musical, which features a love story, and asks whether destiny exists, and if so, whether its course can be altered. Created in English, it will see the light in the middle of 2021, also in its Italian version.
