The Budget Law 2018 introduced the obligation of electronic invoicing between individuals (B2B relations).
As early as 01.01.2010 it has been possible, as an option, to send electronic invoices through the Interchange System as well as to the Public Administration, also in B2B relations.
This new B2B electronic invoicing obligation will come into effect starting from:
1 July 2018 for the sale of gasoline and diesel oil intended for use as motor fuels and for services rendered by subcontractors to a main contractor in contracts with public administrations
1 January 2019 for all companies and all professionals (excluding non-holders of VAT, taxpayers under the minimum or flat rate and to / from taxpayers who are neither residents nor established in Italy).
The invoice must be issued in XML format and transmitted via the Inland Revenue Exchange System (ES), as is the case today for PA invoices.
