The Crew Development & Strategy Manager develops global crewing services of internal and external providers to ensure quality and excellence in all operational departments aboard.

Key Responsibilities:

Promotes and develops relationships with primary Institutes of innovation, technology, and R&D such as universities, colleges, start-up labs, incubators and other organizations and associations to detect any new collaboration opportunities to bring innovation;
Performs regular monitoring of main competitors strategies and innovations introduced, sets benchmarks within the cruise and tourism sector and other relevant industries;
Identifies new emerging trends, and future customer needs and translates them into new business opportunities;
Inspires the development of new product and services and business models leveraging on new technologies, including but not limited to digital innovation, with the creation of business plans, operating models, and proof of concepts;
Supports internal and external focus groups and workshops and other idea generation processes to develop mechanisms to embed a culture of continuous innovation into the company;
Understands key business needs, conducts feasibility and cost-opportunity studies, defines action plans, and supervises the work performed to ensure objectives are satisfactory and timely met;
Extrapolates requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis;
Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers), the software development and technical teams.


Fluent in English, knowledge of Italian highly desirable, any other EU languages would be an advantage;

• Master Degree in Engineering / Computer Science and/or Business Administration;

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with a top consultancy firm, start-up, incubator focused on innovation and digital projects;

• Advanced IT literacy: understanding of main IT systems / architectures;

• Visionary mind, curious, able to think out of the box and identify innovative solutions;

• Truly passionate by new innovation trends and opportunities;

• Entrepreneurial approach: able to take initiative, bringing new perspective and fresh ideas;

• Robust analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to translate customer needs into application and operational requirements;

• Strong change management experience, including evidence of effective expertise in developing and implementing innovative solutions;

• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills including stakeholder management at all levels within an organization.
